I had this project in mind for some time now, but I have never had the time to work on it. This morning I said to myself that it’s now or never, this is the best time to take it out of my head and create it. Which is what I did….
Materials and tools used: white Fimo Professional Polymer Clay, pastel colors, pasta machine, round cutter (two sizes), petal shape cutter, jewelry pins, Fimo varnish.
I have prepared the white polymer clay and roll it through the pasta machine. Then I have cut a round shape using a round cutter.
Using a petal shape, I have cut 10 petals.
I have shaped a little bit the petals (using gloves in order not to leave fingerprints on the clay).
I have used a toothpick to make a vein pattern on the petal.
I have put some Liquid Fimo on the round base and then I started adding petals all around.
I have cut another round shape.
I have put the round shape in the middle of the flower ( a smaller size).
I have shaped an oval form for the center of the flower.
I have coated with polymer clay three eye pins and then I put them on the oval center of the flower (I have used a little bit of Liquid Fimo).
I did the same in the lower part.
I have used another round shape to put the parts together.
I have cut out a round shape and then using the blade I have made another circle, concentric to the first one, but larger than the first one. Then I have cut thin fringes all around.
I have started coloring the flower.
And the final touches:
And then I put it into to oven and baked it according to the manufacturer’s specifications. After cooling down, I have applied two layers of Fimo varnish.
Then I decided to put it on a box.
You have a great talent …
Thank you very much! Best wishes! Mihaela
You propose so many tutorials, it’s crazy !!! When I’ll have more time I will definitively try some ! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us 🙂
Thank you so much for visiting my blog. You are welcome to come by anytime! Posting one tutorial a day was a challenge I established for myself (this is a journey in which I discover myself, my limitations, what sparkles my creativity on a tight schedule). I also believe that you learn by teaching others.
I’m trying to visit blog once a week, but it’s sometimes difficult to combine everything 🙂 It’s a great philosophy, I’m glad people still value teaching others 🙂
I have started this journey to know myself better and there are days when it is stressful, but most of the times it is rewarding. And I really love sharing what I have learned, discovered or created with other people. Thank you for stopping by!
